approaching... Taiwan!

Good morning!

Another short night, another pile of tasks to take care of. My stay here in Aalen was especially hectic and short, since I hadn't finished the final document for my Carleton SNO group internship until yesterday. But hey, signed, sealed, delivered, it's yours! I'm done, so I can finally get started with packing.

Packing for two things, actually. Tomorrow at 6.30 am, I'll move to Asia for the next 2 1/2 months. After my return on Oct 13, I have less than two days to move back to Göttingen - and I don't even have an apartment there yet. Oops.

Being home was great! I got to hang out with my friends a whole lot in Augsburg. A whole weekend of partying and being hung over with Calc, Saf and Dave (the CSD gang). Here's proof:

It was really awesome to hang out again with Vali, Daniel and all the other guys, too! Really too bad they didn't make it out to automatic.music at Kerosin on Saturday... some people's excuse is better than that of others, hehe.

Last night, I welcomed Dominik back in Aalen and finally got to meet up with Hannes, too. Check out the two sweethearts!

Holy cow, my English gets bad when I'm tired... last night's four hours of sleep just don't do for me. But, there's great news: Miranda and I now have a hostel booked for the first 9 nights of her stay in Taipei! How awesome is that??

Alright, you guys, time to get started with packing. Catch you later!

Back in Germany

Hi,

So... I'm back in Aalen. What can I say, I'm happy and sad at the same time. Happy to be home and sad to not be in Ottawa with Miranda anymore. And the weirdest thing is that the excitement of my upcoming trip and internship in Taiwan seems to be delayed.

Yesterday, for the first time, I held my tickets in hands. Yes, actual printed tickets! But still, it doesn't feel quite real yet. I guess, the problem is that I still have so many things to take care of, before I can go that I can't focus on the excitement yet. But that's ok, the flight to Taipei is 13hours non-stop with another subsequent 1hour flight to Kaohsiung. Plenty of time to realize where I'm going, hehe...

Oh, forgot to mention, guess who got a free upgrade from Economy to World Traveller Plus class on his flight from Montreal to London! Yep, dasme!! Awesome - I've never had such a comfortable flight. Let's hope China Airlines can keep up with that...

That's all for now, I might have more interesting things to say when I'm a) not so tired anymore and b) finally done this next task of mine...

Catch ya later!

lots of things ahead of me...

Hi everyone!

To those of you whose first language is German, let me apologize for writing in English. It's necessary in order to be able to stay in touch with everyone who might be interested in reading about my totally Taiwan experience...

But all you guys are interested in is pictures anyway. :-P
All I want to say for now is that I will be coming back to Germany in July and hope to see y'all there partying it up on Saf's rooftop patio.

Tomorrow, Miranda and I will be going camping in Algonquin Park and then it's just one more week in Ottawa... And with my internship in Taiwan coming up in less than three weeks, I know things are going to be hectic. I will start posting here more regularly when I've arrived.

So much for now, talk to you later!
